For almost three decades, Thai CDC has been addressing workers’ rights and worst of all, the heinous crime of labor trafficking, while also engaging in our core mission of community development and a provision of social, human and legal services to improve the quality of life and increase the standard of living for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable among us.  To continue addressing the plight of exploited Thai workers, Thai CDC will be opening the first Thai Workers’ Center in the nation.  Because exploitation in the workplace continues to run rampant and labor trafficking continues to grow unabated, we felt that such a Center needs to be created to attack these serious issues in a more concerted and robust way.

Please join us for this historic event which will consist of a Press Conference and Grand Opening of the Thai Workers’ Center by going to the Eventbrite link to RSVP your attendance.  Details on the event are on the Thai and English flyers.  The event will also coincide with the 28th anniversary of freedom for the Thai workers from the historic El Monte Thai Garment Slavery Case.
