Thai Town was officially designated by the Los Angeles City Council in 1999 as a way to pay respect to Thais living in L.A. and Thai culture in general. NBT World correspondent Joel Gershon was in Thai Town in Los Angeles recently and spoke to a community organizer who helped make Thai Town a reality, as well as a longtime resident of Thai Town.
